AI in a winery: where it already saves time

In short
AI saves time on shop and newsletter texts, on answering recurring customer questions and on summarising long documents. It does not help where something has to be calculated, measured or decided.
Where it works
Texts for shop and newsletter
From a few notes about the vintage and the style, you get a draft to edit. The gain is not the wording – it is that the empty screen disappears.
Recurring customer questions
Shipping costs, pick-up times, allergens, bottle sizes: questions that arrive a hundred times a year. A draft that someone checks is faster than any template.
Long documents
Test reports, contracts, funding conditions – summarised down to what matters for you, with the original next to it.
Where it does not help
- Measurements and invoices. A model phrases plausibly; it does not calculate reliably.
- Decisions in the cellar. That is a matter of experience and analysis, not of language models.
- Legal details on the label. Here the regulation counts, not the phrasing.
The point we discuss during the evening
Not which tool, but which task. Start with a task that comes up daily and can be checked in seconds, and after four weeks you have a number: minutes saved per case. Everything else stays a demonstration.
What you can do now
Before the evening, write down one task that comes up daily in your business and consists of text. That gives you a concrete case for the open round.
